Yeah... I'm going to have to do a NerdCubed quote here... "This is the reason I play AAA games, because when they shit up, they shit up magnificently"... And Ubisoft didn't disappoint...

The word buggy... is an understatement...

From triggers that piss the player off by adding an wall between them and the Big Bad being trigged so late that the player gets pissed off... by getting TRAPPED in the wall...

And animations that force the model's head to clip through it's neck, and shoulders...

Fire risks... Straps inside shoulders. And my favourite... Floating Guns...

The storyline was a bit like an onion... While you pulled back the layers to figure out what was going on, it hurt you immensely... but it is immensely fun at the same time. If highly predictable... except for one part.

The kicker... is the game itself... more intently the controls, gone are the ~8 context sensitive controls, now it's 2 different pages of controls, with each feature being re-assignable... Which sounds better... but so totally isn't. Why?

Quick Time Events

The game is full of them, and unless you leave them as default, it gets insanely complex, not to mention their icons are shit. Look at the screenshots above, and above the Space icon, what button is that.

It's one of the side mouse buttons. But which one? I HAVE 13 of the freakin buttons...

Not to mention... this game penalises you for having quality hardware... I have a Logitech G700 Mouse which is an awesome piece of kit, with 5,700 DPI and 1ms response time, sounds like it would be nice... WRONG. They decided to put in a more "Skyrim like" lockpicking mini game, while being wrong in terms of actually picking locks (I've picked Locks, and handcuffs before... don't ask) {But it's more accurate than most games} which since this is an unashamed console port, it would work well, using the 2 lower sensitivity thumbsticks... But when you have a High DPI mouse, it becomes insanely hard... I had to pick a lock in 2 missions, it was the longest part of the missions by far.

One mission you have to chase a person, that's faster than you, without bumping anyone, or being more than 50m away from them. Easy right? Just freerun...
Hello Invisible walls...

And the kicker.

The climbing mechanic is even more broken than it was in the previous games, yes, the flagship part of the game is screwed, before you would only be annoyed because it sometimes guessed a wrong choice of your commands, sure it would be a valid move, just wrong.
Now it will ignore valid moves if you're a tiny bit off... as well as sometimes choosing the wrong option when you get to a stage where moves are accepted.

The annoying part of being shot off because your character doesn't want to climb over the eaves in one point... but one tap to the left, and boom straight up.

And know those annoying camera moves during precision Free running? Yeah, they didn't remove that either... but it is more rairer.

BUT IT'S SO AMAZING!
